V-Soft Security Program
Robinson ISD, like many districts in the state, have installed a very significant software security system at each campus. The system has been installed to greatly protect the safety and security of staff, students and parents.
Raptor V-Soft is a computer software system that enhances school security by reading visitors drivers’ licenses, comparing information to a sex offender data base, alerting campus administrators if a match is found, then (assuming no match was made) printing a visitor badge that includes a photo. If a match is found, a campus administrator is notified so school access can be denied to that visitor. Raptor is only scanning the visitor’s name, date of birth, and photo for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders. Additional visitor data will not be gathered and no data will be shared with any outside company or organization. (full story)

RISD PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION
Please consider joining the Robinson High School Parent, Teacher, and Student Association. Not only do they provide several scholarships for our students yearly ($10,000 last year), they also provide scholarships for our teachers that are continuing their education. They also give monies to this campus yearly for worthwhile projects. For example, they donated $3500 worth of equipment for our broadcast journalism class this year.
Backpack Information Day Robinson ISD strives to provide a learning environment free from disruption. It is our goal to send home and/or make available to students and parents only information which has been approved for display or distribution in accordance with policy GKDA (local). Our district recognizes the need for various organizations to get non-school literature to the students that our district serves. It is with this understanding that we have developed the Robinson ISD Backpack Information Days.
Please download and print the form below to see the dates for important timelines for your group’s information to be included with this year’s Backpack Information. This is available for grades K-6 only. (Backpack Information Form)
