The 2013 legislative session brought many changes for school districts. Included in HB5 is the community and student engagement component as a local evaluation tool.  In RISD, district and campus site based decision making committees created criteria and evaluated programs as an opportunity for us to showcase areas of excellence as well as recognize areas in need of improvement and set future goals valued in the community. RISD 2015-2016 Rating Publication
 
 
DISTRICT/CAMPUS ACCOUNTABILITY RATINGS
District/Campus Accountability Ratings (2016) 
The Accountability Ratings show ratings as well as the data used to determine the ratings for each campus and district. The reports show the Distinction Designations earned by campuses. 
 
RISD is an accredited district.  District accreditation status is located on the TEA website.

TCSR Report

Texas Consolidated School Rating (TCSR) Report - Beginning in 2014, the Texas Consolidated School Rating (TCSR) Report provides the following information for each Texas public school district and campus:state academic accountability ratings and distinction designations for 2012–13, 2013–14, 2014–15, and 2015–16;

    • state financial accountability ratings reported in School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (School FIRST) for 2012–13, 2013–14, 2014–15, and 2015–16; and
    • locally assigned Community and Student Engagement ratings and statutory compliance statuses for 2013–14, 2014–15, and 2015–2016.

 TEKS Resource System

Robinson ISD utilizes TEKS Resource System. 

It is a curriculum management system developed by the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative, which is comprised of Texas' 20 Education Service Centers. The system includes a curriculum framework for grades K-12 in all foundational academic subject areas aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

District TAPR and SRC Ratings 

The Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) is published annually by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) combine details of district and campus academic performance with financial reports and information about staff, programs, and demographics.

The school report card (SRC) combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.

 

District and Campus Improvement Plans

As a Title I, Part A schoolwide program, RISD must develop a comprehensive plan to reform each campus's total instructional program. This is the second step of a required, year-long process, after each campus conducts a comprehensive needs assessment(CNA). The campus improvement plan (CIP) serves as the blueprint for how each campus will actually address the needs identified during the CNA. An effective CIP can bring focus and coherence to reform activities and help ensure unity of purpose, alignment, and clear accountability.
