NEWS & EVENTS PTSA Meeting The RHS PTSA General Meeting that was originally scheduled for May 22, 2013 has been rescheduled for June 18, 2013 at 6:00p.m. in the high school cafeteria. We will vote on the 2013-2014 RHS PTSA officers and the PTSA budget. The RHS PTSA officers for 2013-2014 are as follows: President- not filled Vice President- Susana Garcia-Gilmore Secretary- not filled Treasurer- Carrie Smith If you are interested in serving as President or Secretary, please contact Tammy Hector at 254-722-0873. From the Counselors: The high school counselors will host a “Preparing for the Senior Year” meeting Wednesday, May 29th at 6:00pm in the high school cafeteria. Each participant will receive a packet which includes information about scholarships, events, financial aid, college visits, college applications, and many other important topics for the graduating class of 2014. Seniors & Parents: Schedule and information on all events for May and June, 2013 2013-2014 ATHLETICS: Mandatory Pre-Season Packet for all Athletes-Parents and athletes need to complete the form and return to the Athletic Department at the High School by April 29, 2013. Schoology Parent Access Schoology is designed to help parents/guardians stay informed of the events in their child’s courses. The parent access code will be provided by the child’s teacher. With this access code parents will be able to view each course and the information about that course. Parents will not be able to see other students in the same course as their child. Below are the steps to gain access to Schoology. For parents of high school students, the teachers will be replacing their blogs with Schoology. Faculty and Staff Directory (Printable version) PROJECT GRADUATION Project Graduation is a "Chemical Free Party" sponsored by the Project Graduation Committee. It gives the seniors at Robinson High School an opportunity to celebrate one last time with their friends.
Parents or students have access to course textbooks online. Parents will need to obtain access codes or username and passwords from the teachers. |

Notice to Parents Regarding the NCLB Report Card Dear Parent: Robinson High Schoolis sharing this information about the district and your child’s campus with you as part of itsobligations under the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB). NCLB Report Cards for the state as a whole, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available at the link below and the Robinson High School Office. This is a great achievement since the ratings are based upon the results of the TAKS scores. You can click on the link above to see the individual campus ratings. State Standardized Testing Program Goodbye to TAKS and hello to STAAR! Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the state's standardized testing program, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) will be replaced by the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR). For high school students, End of Course (EOC) tests for certain high school courses will begin replacing TAKS tests in 2011-2012. For grades 3-8, TAKS tests will be replaced by the more rigorous STAAR tests. |

Backpack Information Day Robinson ISD strives to provide a learning environment free from disruption. It is our goal to send home and/or make available to students and parents only information which has been approved for display or distribution in accordance with policy GKDA (local). Our district recognizes the need for various organizations to get non-school literature to the students that our district serves. It is with this understanding that we have developed the Robinson ISD Backpack Information Days. Please see the dates below for important timelines for your group’s information to be included with this year’s Backpack Information. This is available for grades K-6 only.
