Room 113 at the high school will be open from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on August 12th, 14th, 19th and 21st to assist anyone with online registration.

TEA releases 2014 accountability ratings
AUSTIN – (August 8, 2014) The Texas Education Agency today released the 2014 state accountability system ratings for more than 1,200 school districts and charters, and more than 8,500 campuses. The ratings reveal that 90 percent of school districts and charters across Texas have achieved the rating of Met Standard.
Community & Student Engagement Ratings
The 2013 legislative session brought many changes for school districts. Included in HB5 is the community and student engagement component as a local evaluation tool. In RISD,district and campus site based decision making committees created criteria and evaluated programs as an opportunity for us to showcase areas of excellence as well as recognize areas in need of improvement and set future goals valued in the community. Schoology Parent Access
Schoology is designed to help parents/guardians stay informed of the events in their child’s courses. The parent access code will be provided by the child’s teacher. With this access code parents will be able to view each course and the information about that course. Parents will not be able to see other students in the same course as their child. Below are the steps to gain access to Schoology. For parents of high school students, the teachers will be replacing their blogs with Schoology.
Project Graduation is a "Chemical Free Party" sponsored by the Project Graduation Committee. It gives the seniors at Robinson High School an opportunity to celebrate one last time with their friends.

TEA launches college and career planning website
AUSTIN – The Texas Education Agency today announced the launch of a new free online college and career planning website for Texas students, parents and educators.
The Texas College & Career resource site, www.texascollegeandcareer.org, provides information about college options, academic and financial preparation for college, higher education admissions and career research. (full story)
The TEKS Resource System is the new name (as of Aug. 30, 2013) for CSCOPE.
It is a curriculum management system developed by the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative, which is comprised of Texas' 20 Education Service Centers. The system includes a curriculum framework for grades K-12 in all foundational academic subject areas aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

Parents or students have access to course textbooks online. Parents will need to obtain access codes or username and passwords from the teachers.

2013-2014 ATHLETICS: Mandatory Pre-Season Packet for all Athletes: Parents and athletes need to download, print, complete and return to the Athletic Department at the High School.
Procedures for Reporting Allegations of Bullying
Robinson ISD-The district prohibits bullying on school property, at school-sponsored or school-related activities, or in any vehicle operated by the district. Bullying may be verbal or written expression or expression through electronic means, or physical conduct.

National Honor Society
New members of the National Honor Society were inducted on October 16, 2013.
Student Council-To become a member of the RHS Student Council, each member must complete a total of 15 hours of volunteer service during the summer.
As always, the RHS StuCo does its best to live up to our motto of “Helping. Serving. Leading.”

Backpack Information Day
Robinson ISD strives to provide a learning environment free from disruption. It is our goal to send home and/or make available to students and parents only information which has been approved for display or distribution in accordance with policy GKDA (local). Our district recognizes the need for various organizations to get non-school literature to the students that our district serves. It is with this understanding that we have developed the Robinson ISD Backpack Information Days. FLASH ALERT SYSTEM
Robinson ISD will be using the FlashAlert System to provide important information, including school closures and emergency information as well as sports scores, to our parents and the community in an efficient and timely manner. Each FlashAlert subscriber may register up to three home or office email addresses or cell phone text message numbers, and/or follow the district on Twitter.
