District/Campus Accountability Ratings (2014)
(September 29, 2014) The Accountability Ratings show ratings as well as the data used to determine the ratings for each campus and district. The reports show the Distinction Designations earned by campuses. Below are the individual reports for each campus:
Community & Student Engagement Ratings
The 2013 legislative session brought many changes for school districts. Included in HB5 is the community and student engagement component as a local evaluation tool. In RISD,district and campus site based decision making committees created criteria and evaluated programs as an opportunity for us to showcase areas of excellence as well as recognize areas in need of improvement and set future goals valued in the community. Schoology Parent Access
Schoology is designed to help parents/guardians stay informed of the events in their child’s courses. The parent access code will be provided by the child’s teacher. With this access code parents will be able to view each course and the information about that course. Parents will not be able to see other students in the same course as their child. Below are the steps to gain access to Schoology.

TEA launches college and career planning website
AUSTIN – The Texas Education Agency today announced the launch of a new free online college and career planning website for Texas students, parents and educators.
The Texas College & Career resource site, www.texascollegeandcareer.org, provides information about college options, academic and financial preparation for college, higher education admissions and career research. (full story)

Student Textbook Listings Online
Parents or students have access to course textbooks online. Parents will need to obtain access codes or username and passwords from the teachers.

Robinson ISD Child Nutrition Services uses mySchoolBucks®, an online payment service giving you a quick and easy way to manage and add funds to your student’s meal account. Youcan review recent purchases along with seeing the current balance, plus receive low balance alerts… all for FREE! You can continue to deposit to your child lunch account by using cash and check deposit. You can also add money to your student’s account using Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, or debit cards for a small fee.
An added benefit of mySchoolBucks is the “Set it and forget it” payment option, which allows you to schedule automatic payments to your student’s meal account. Funds can be added weekly, monthly or when the balance hits a specified amount-- simply choose the “Setup a payment schedule” option during the checkout.

ATHLETICS: Mandatory Pre-Season Packet for all Athletes: Parents and athletes need to download, print, complete and return to the Athletic Department at the High School.
Procedures for Reporting Allegations of Bullying
Robinson ISD-The district prohibits bullying on school property, at school-sponsored or school-related activities, or in any vehicle operated by the district. Bullying may be verbal or written expression or expression through electronic means, or physical conduct.

Members of the FCCLA Leadership team attended a leadership conference at MCC on October 2, 2014.
This training was designed to prepare our students to take the lead and to build relationships in the home and community through effective communication skills and to participate in service learning projects. Students were challenged to prevent texting and driving as well as to spend more time with family members by participating in Texas FCCLA at the Table.
National Honor Society
Student Council-To become a member of the RHS Student Council, each member must complete a total of 15 hours of volunteer service during the summer.
As always, the RHS StuCo does its best to live up to our motto of “Helping. Serving. Leading.”

FLASH ALERT SYSTEM
Robinson ISD will be using the FlashAlert System to provide important information, including school closures and emergency information as well as sports scores, to our parents and the community in an efficient and timely manner. Each FlashAlert subscriber may register up to three home or office email addresses or cell phone text message numbers, and/or follow the district on Twitter.
